DustPROOF Series Technical Specifications

We are committed to publishing accurate and truthful noise level data - taken directly from acoustic testing reports to recognised International Test Standards. At 1m distance in the average home/office environment noise levels below 10dBA will be difficult to discern above normal background noise levels.

NOTES:
* Where noise levels have been measured & calculated @1m distance below 10dBA we have quoted <10dBA. Very low noise levels,
are taken at 0.3m distance and extrapolated to 1m, so that recorded levels are significantly above test chamber background noise levels.
** The quoted RPM for an individual fan may vary slightly by as much as 10% (figures shown are averages from multiple tests).
A variation in RPM at a given voltage will result in a change in airflow and noise levels.
*** Auto-restart is a safety feature build into the fan's PCB that automatically restarts the fan after the release
of a constraint that has prevented the blades from spinning.

DustPROOF Noiseless Computer Case Fan - 60mm - Quiet Computer Fans and Quiet Computer PC Parts by AcoustiFan

DustPROOF Noiseless Computer Case Fan - 60mm is a great Quiet Computer Fans and Quiet Computer PC Parts by AcoustiFan. Enjoy the great selection of Quiet Computer Fans and Quiet Computer PC Parts

Browse our selection of quiet computer fans and quiet pc fans. We offer truly silent computer fans and silent pc fans. Case fans, CPU fans, motherboard, and video card cooling fans share the same design considerations as Power Supplies and you pretty much get what you pay for. Buy quiet computer fans and quiet pc fans. Browse our large selection of silent computer fans and silent PC fans. Silent fans and quiet fans are really a great way to replace your loud fan and eliminate fan noise. You can also decrease case fan noise with vibration isolation. Even rubber grommets placed over the mounting bolts, between the fan frame and the surface to which the fan mounts, will help reduce the transfer of vibrations to areas of the case that can resonate sympathetically and acoustically amplify the noise. PC noise can be drastically reduced by this. You could also cut your own gaskets out of sound dampening materials and place them between the fan and mounting area for your own custom solution. Recently, Acousti Products has introduced some fairly inexpensive, yet effective, silicone gel fan mounting grommets and similar fan gaskets. Acoustic absorbing materials for quieting PCs can be placed around the airflow path inside the case to absorb noise. Just be careful not to impede the airflow itself. Standard 80mm case fans usually come in one or two wiring configurations, and each has its own type of connector. A four-pin Molex connector delivers 12V DC. It doesn’t inherently accommodate speed control which doesn’t give you as much control over performance of the fan and output noise. The three-wire type of fan allows feedback from the fan so the user can see the fan speed, and/or an alarm can sound if the fan fails so you will have notification before your computer fries. If your three-pin fan speed isn’t controlled by the motherboard, inexpensive fan speed controls let you limit the fan speed to a lower RPM to drop unwanted noise levels quite a bit while making sure enough airflow to dissipate heat still exists.

A fan’s spec sheet will specify air throughput in CFM or cubic feet per minute. The larger the better, a 120mm fan rotating at a low speed will usually move more air than a smaller fan running at a higher RPM. The AcoustiFan 120mm fans from Acousti Products are literally inaudible while providing excellent air circulation. Most people think aluminum cases are better at getting rid of heat; however, a thick steel case is better for stopping sound transmission from within the computer. Well-fitted case parts can help reduce noise that escapes through cracks. Some people leave the side of their PC off, thinking it provides more ventilation. However, many cases need to be fully assembled for the air flow design to work effectively. Always consider getting a full tower to allow for better ventilation. A larger internal space means that less air needs to go through the system per minute. Always think efficient air flow and convection is good when installing internal components. If you can leave some air space between multiple hard drives, do so.

The most common case fan sizes are: 80mm, 92mm and 120mm. There are dozens of models with different speeds, airflows and noise ratings. (CPU heat sink fans are generally 60mm, or more recently, 80mm in size.) In general, larger fans generate greater airflow (measured in CFM) and operate at slower speeds (RPM) than their little brothers. Due to lower fan blade speeds, larger fans typically generate less noise and at a lower pitch. Larger fans typically produce less air velocity and less static pressure than smaller fans do. This can be a disadvantage when trying to mount a large fan to a small heat sink using an adapter. Most fan adapters are aerodynamically very inefficient. The larger fans just can’t push their rated airflow through a restricting adapter and therefore will usually perform less effectively than a smaller, high velocity fan with a similar airflow rating.

It is a good strategy to use multiple, low RPM fans. These fans do not move as much air as higher RPM fans do, so we need to use more of them. If you have the room and prefer to use 92mm or 120mm fans, that’s fine; just use the quiet larger models.

The fans we offer are the best at offering good air flow with minimal noise. Try to keep the airflow (air-in vs. air-out) reasonably balanced. If you plan to use filters on the inlet fans (a good idea) then compensate for reduced airflow by having more total airflow going into the case than coming out. Enjoy our selection of quiet computer fans and quiet pc fans. We have selected the best silent computer fans and silent PC fans for your need.
